Roesen Delimon standard
pump-to-point lubricator
Wide variety of models thanks to a modular systemThis model is also designed for oil and emulsion lubrication against back pressures of up to 150 bar and can supply up to 20 lubrication points.
Oil lubrication pumps designed to deliver lubricating oil directly to the lubrication point. These are positive-displacement piston pumps in which the pump housing serves as the oil reservoir. A dedicated metering piston is provided for each lubrication point, and the delivery volumes can be individually adjusted. Operation is monitored via drop sight control behind a sight glass. Designed for central lubrication systems with up to 20 lubrication points, the pump is capable of delivering up to two different types of oil. A wide range of options regarding housing configuration, drive type, and various auxiliary devices ensures a suitable solution for every application.

A wide variety of models is available through the use of different basic housings combined with various drive types, drive orientations, and additional design options. This lubricator is used, for example, on stationary steam engines (including older systems and those from the former GDR) and on steam locomotives in the railway sector. Since a single drive mechanism serves the entire set of potential connections (up to a maximum of 20), the maximum permissible operating pressure varies depending on the number of connections actually in use. The specified delivery volumes per connection remain fully available for all lubrication points. Unused connections must not be sealed off; instead, they must be set to the zero position.
The oil lubrication pumps are positively controlled piston pumps, whose pump body serves as an oil reservoir. A separate allocation piston is available for each point of lubrication. The discharge volumes can be individually adjusted for each point of lubrication. The function can be monitored via a drop indicator with inspection glass. The oil lubrication pumps are designed for central lubrication systems with up to 20 points of lubrication, whereas a maximum of two different kinds of oil can be conveyed with one pump. A multitude of combination possibilities regarding casing arrangement, driving mode and diverse auxiliary facilities offer a suitable solution for all requirements.
The crankshaft (9) moves the allocation piston (1) and the conveyance piston (5). The allocation piston (1) thereby sucks the lubricating oil through the channel (a) out of the crank case and conveys it through the channel (b) to the drip nozzle (2). From there it drops, visible through the inspection glass (3), into the drip chamber (4). The conveyance piston (5) sucks the lubricating oil out of the drip chamber via the channel (c) and conveys it to the point of lubrication via the spring-loaded piston valve (6) and the check valve (7). Each pump element conveys 0 ... 0,25cm3 per stroke of the piston, depending on the setting. The discharge volume is adjusted via the set screw (8), whereby turning in the minus-arrow direction determines a lesser discharge volume and turning in the plus-arrow direction determines a larger discharge volume. Is the volume of a pump element to be adjusted to min. or max., then the set screw must be turned in the respective direction until resistance is noticeable. One subsequently turns the set screw (8) back half a turn.
These standard oil-lubrication pumps—comprising a drive mechanism, housings, and associated internal components—are available with 2 to 20 outlets. They are designed to handle either a single type of oil or two different types simultaneously. Depending on the drive mechanism, the pumps can achieve between 5 and 17 piston strokes per minute. A hand crank attached to the shaft stub allows for manual pre-lubrication.
There are two drive variants available for the Delimon lubricator: The rotary drive can be configured with a drive shaft to the left, to the right, or to the front and rear.
CASING ARRANGEMENTS
The casing arrangements result from the use of individual casings and from the coupling possibilities of the 4...10 component casings. Oil lubrication pumps for one oil type are generally realised with the 4...10 component casings. With the use of two types of oil and with the use of more than 10 connections for one oil type the casings are coupled. With coupled casings the arrangement is made in such a way that the larger casing is situated on the drive side. If for example, with oil lubrication pumps for two types of oil (oil type A and B), more than 10 connections are required for oil A, the casing for oil B is always situated on the side that is turned away from the drive.
Heating facility
The heating facility is utilised if the kinematic viscosity of the applied oil has been exceeded at the lowest possible operating temperature 1200 mm2/s. The operating temperature at which the admissible viscosity of max. 1200 mm2/s sets in has to be achieved during initiation of the oil lubrication pump. The heating facility is operated with steam. The connection is made with cutting ring fitting ISO 8434-1 6L on the reverse side of the oil lubrication pump.
